CPF Discussion - Workers and Families
Summer has now drifted into Autumn and as the days get shorter and the weather turns a little chilly, please join us for a coffee morning conversation from the warm and pleasant surroundings of your own living room or kitchen. The next subject for our deliberations is “Workers and Families” and I very much hope you can join us for our next virtual meeting on Saturday 17th October at 10:00am via Zoom. The briefing paper is available from the link below. We are asked to provide responses to the following;
- In what ways has the Government’s response to COVID-19 affected your attitude to welfare?
- How should Government determine the appropriate level of spending on benefits at both an individual and national level?
- What barriers exist to in-work progression for low-income workers, including parents (and mothers in particular) and how might Government help to break these down?
- How might Government better support in-work progression?
- How might Government better promote financial security and stability?
- Is there any other observation you would like to make?
All members are welcome to attend and if you would like to join in please advise the office by midday Friday 16 October as joining instructions will only be sent to those expressing interest.
Alternatively, please email written responses to [email protected]
