Last year HDC replaced all the lights in its multi-storey car parks with LED lighting. By replacing the 387 lights in Swan Walk car park this reduced the Council’s carbon emissions by nearly 19,000kg a year, as well as saving around £11,000 in energy bills.
HDC is now working to replace all the lights in its car parks across the District by the end of March 2023.
