Local Conservatives warned last year that when the Liberal Democrats last ran Horsham District Council (HDC) they increased your council tax by 38% over four years which was three times the rate of inflation. In their first year of that term of office the Lib Dem’s increased Council Tax by 23% - eight times the rate of inflation!
As night follows day, the current Lib Dem run HDC are already increasing your taxes and delivering a lot less for your hard earned money. The Lib Dems have increased the Town Tax by a staggering 35% in their first year of office.
The Lib Dems have also increased parking charges by up to 60%, taxing those who need to use their car to shop or work in Horsham.
They have increased your garden waste bin charge by 10% (and by much more if you have a second bin).
The Lib Dems inherited large reserves, which were saved up to help keep these costs down in difficult times. But rather than doing that, they are spending it all on pointless vanity projects and selling off your community assets.
