The Horsham Conservative Women's Organisation (CWO) held its inaugural lunch of the 2020 programme today at Bill's Resutaurant in Horsham. The guest speaker was our very own Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne OBE.
Katy was able to give our members an overview of the role of Police ad Crime Commissioners and, in particular, talk about some of the more challenging aspects of police work in and around Sussex. Katy is facing re-election in May this year and our members vowed to get out, campaign hard and work to ensure she carries on as Sussex's PCC.
Katy is responsible for a police budget in 2020/21 of around £310m. With challenges from County Lines, burglary, drugs and violent offences, Katy is responsible for the overall running of the Sussex Police Force.
