Following the surprise resignation of an Independent councillor from Mid Sussex District Council, a local by-election has been called in the ward of Copthorne and Worth.
Horsham Conservatives have selected local man, Bruce Forbes to be their candidate in the election scheduled for Thursday 16 April.
Bruce is a former councillor on Mid Sussex District Council and has also been Chairman of that Council. He is an excellent candidate .
Association Chairman, Adrian M Lee said, "Bruce has a wealth of experience in local politics in the Crawley Down, Turners Hill, Copthorne and Worth area and his previous experience on the Council means he can bring a strong voice for local residents."
Council Leader, Jonathan Ash-Edwards added, "We are very pleased to have Bruce contesting this seat, his experience with the Council means he will add immediate value to the Conservative team as well as being able to hit the ground running as a local Councillor for the people of Copthorne and Worth."
