I would like to thank all those who supported me in so many different ways over the last decade as your MP.
It is a huge privilege to serve in Parliament. To do so for a community which is also one’s home is very special.
There is never a moment when there isn’t an opportunity to attend a community event, to hold a surgery, visit a school, business or charity. I resolved tens of thousands of cases for individual residents while taking on major challenges which impact us all: from dealing with Covid, policy on solar farms, new schools, Gatwick expansion plans, enhanced community policing to supporting local NHS provision.
I was sorry not to be returned in the election but I am hugely grateful to have been entrusted with a role that enabled me to make such a difference and to support so many members of our community. I continue to take a very close interest in what matters to us all locally.
