Karen served in the Womans Royal Naval Service (now part of the Royal Navy) from leaving school until 1982. This included working in communications at a large Naval air station, Culdrose in Cornwall.

Peter served in the Royal Navy for 32 years, flying Buccaneers to carriers, helicopters in the Antarctic, was the Seahawk display pilot and a VIP transport captain. Passengers included Margaret Thatcher and John Major.

Simon has lived in Horsham for most of his life and has always taken a keen interest in local issues.
